Self-confessed data cynic Alex Tullett, head of benefit strategy at Capita Employee Benefits, took to the stage at the REBA Reward Leaders' Forum to talk….data.

“I love people who are cynical about data because, to be quite honest, I’m cynical about data too but I’ve spent a long time playing with it,” he said.
“If you are not careful analytics and data you will be told solve everything. It doesn’t but it does have an impact on everything you do,” he said.
He said that organisations had to look at their data, analytics and work on the insights gleaned from it with data put into a context that makes sense to that particular business.
“It’s important to use data and have analytics as part of your toolbox but pick something worth investigating, choose the right approach for you as a business and be informed by that insight,” he said. "It's a tool. It's not a solution," he said.
